Marjorie Tell-Oswall, 59, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 with her loving family by her side at home.
A celebration of life for relatives and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home.
Marjorie was born on April 16, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids to William and Marge (Lewis) Tell. She graduated from Lincoln High School with advanced education at Mid-State Technical College and in Colorado. She worked in information technology for 10 years at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, and later as Vice President of Information Technology at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. She then became Vice President of Ancillary Services for Aspirus Riverview and retired in 2017 after 22 years of service.
Marjorie met Bob Oswall on the Internet in November 2002 and their first date was on December 4 at the Mistletoe Ball at the Hotel Mead. Marjorie and Bob were married on July 31, 2010 and held a wonderful reception at their house which was planned by Marjorie.
Toward the end of her career at Aspirus Riverview, Marjorie and Bob decided to buy a restaurant, “Marjorie’s Steakhouse,” which became her passion. She loved the challenges of operating such a business and became quite an excellent chef. They often told each other that the best part of this venture was meeting the wonderful people over their four years of operation. Many of the employees and customers over the years became very close friends. We truly thank all of you for supporting us.
Marjorie loved to landscape around the house, travel, and had a love for standard poodles. When Marjorie was diagnosed with her illness, we decided to get two standard poodles to provide emotional support. Raisin and Chio became very close family members. But, most of all, Marjorie cherished the time spent with our children and grandchildren. We love you and will miss you Marjorie!
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Bob; children: Michelle Tell Peck, Matt (Melissa) Skalski, Brian (Bryn) Oswall and Megan (Chris) Nelson; grandchildren: Thomas, Parker, Brayden, Elsa, Bryce, Jack, Eisley, Ariadne, Lochlan, and Kamira; mother: Marge Lewis; brothers: William Tell and Tony (Stephanie) Townsend, and sister Rennae (Mike) MacFarlane. She was predeceased by her father, William Tell.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the family.
