Charles H. “Chuck” Lohman, age 78, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1944 in Iola, Wisconsin, the son of Carl “Happy” and Harriet (Pheifer) Lohman. Chuck served his country in the National Guard. In his younger years, he was an avid powerlifter, competing in many tournaments all over the United States. His nickname was “Dr. Deadlift”. He also enjoyed car shows and his 1967 Mustang which he later turned into a drag racer. Chuck retired from Consolidated Papers. In his later years he enjoyed watching Lincoln and Assumption softball games and especially watching his granddaughters play, he was their #1 fan! He also enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. Chuck married Darlene Dix, they had 2 children Paul and Carmen, they later divorced. He is survived by his children, Paul Lohman and Carmen (Ryan) Ziegahn; his pride and joy, his granddaughters, Cassidy and Kendall Ziegahn; sisters, Karen (Denis) Erdman and Nancy Zahn. And several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law Milt Zahn and his sister Carla (Bob) Jaminski. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home from 4-7pm.
